RE: Serious issues with Domino 6.01 upgrade - Windows platform ~Sean Asaboosilylen 10.Apr.03 01:14 PM a Web browser Domino Server 6.0.1Windows 2000
Thank you for your responses. I reran fixup -j on all of my mail files yesterday evening. The server crashed again around midnight and corrupted the log so badly I had to replace it to get the server up, so I decided to do a fresh reinstall - installed 6.01, then cf1, then the hotfix I got from Lotus.
I then took the server down again and ran compact -c -K on the mail files.
When I brought the server back up, it started consistency checking and found corruption, again, on hundreds of mail files. As far as I know, there is no way to stop the start-up consistency checking, so it was still running this morning at 8:30, and keeping the server so busy people couldn't connect at all and/or experienced incredibly slow performance.
Every day of this incident has been worse - now my users can't use mail pretty much at all. I am still not getting any useful suggestions (or even, in most cases, return phone calls) from Lotus. I don't mean to vent, I've had good experiences with them in the past, but I'm having a really hard time getting help with this. Makes me all the more appreciative of all of your responses!
